Sustainable Procurement Policy

We have established a Sustainable Procurement Policy, to promote fair procurement that is compliant with laws and regulations and addresses human rights and environmental considerations. Our business partners will be informed about the Group policy and will be required to understand it and put it into practice. We will integrate sustainability throughout our entire supply chain to prevent problems from occurring which will cause disruption to business and have a severe impact on society.

We will select business partners based on an equitable and fair assessment from various perspectives including quality, delivery time, capacity for stable supply, technical expertise, reliability and price. Mochida Pharmaceutical Group has established Sustainable Procurement Guidelines in order to maintain fair and transparent relationships with our business partners. These guidelines indicate the issues that are considered important for our group and the initiatives that we expect our business partners to undertake.

Surveys on Sustainability

Survey summary (FY2023)

The Mochida Pharmaceutical Group conducted a survey to ascertain the status of sustainability initiatives at each of its key partner suppliers.

Results

The survey collection rate was approximately 80%. The status of initiatives varied, particularly with regard to the environment and corporate governance.

Future Policies

We will provide feedback to suppliers that responded to each question to confirm their own relative level and encourage them to make improvements. We will promote sustainable procurement together with suppliers by working together to address issues.
