New SONOVISTA C3000 Ultrasound Diagnostic System Added to SONOVISTA Series, Featuring Five-Frequency Probe for High Precision Imaging
(Tokyo, June 16, 2004) - On June 21st Mochida Medical Systems Co., Ltd. (President: Hirokazu Komatsu) is set to release the SONOVISTA C3000, a high-performance compact ultrasound diagnostic system targeted mainly for use in transvaginal scanning in obstetrics and gynecology.
Since the launch of the original SONOVISTA ultrasound diagnostic system in 1977 - Japan's first to employ a portable linear electronic scanning system - Mochida Medical Systems has racked up strong sales performance, particularly in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Now Mochida enjoys the top market position in the sale of specialized ultrasound imaging equipment used for transvaginal scanning in obstetrics and gynecology.
The new SONOVISTA C3000 is a functionally-superior successor to the SONOVISTA MSC, which for years earned a reputation amongst obstetricians and gynecologists as a popular and widely-preferred tool for transvaginal imaging.
The new C3000's transvaginal probe - Japan's first mechanical sector probe capable of emitting and receiving five frequencies onboard - enables clearer and higher precision images through the integration of full digitalization, ideal not only for transvaginal use but also for transabdominal scanning (optional). The operating environment has also been greatly improved, with faster key response, and an adjustable monitor and control panel, height adjustabe to accommodate the site being tested.
