Mochida Healthcare Co., Ltd. Set To Commence Independent Operations
As Subsidiary of Healthcare Product Division of Mochida Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
(Tokyo, April 1, 2004) - Mochida Healthcare Co., Ltd. (founded April 2003; President: Naoteru Kashiwa) is set to branch out from the Healthcare Product Division of Mochida Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (President: Naoyuki Mochida) and will commence operations on April 1st 2004.

Mochida Healthcare will make every effort to provide dermatological healthcare products, in consistent with the Mochida Group's corporate objective or becoming a comprehensive healthcare company. The spinning off of Mochida Healthcare follows on from the prior formation of Mochida Medical Systems Co., Ltd. in October 2003, which specializes in medical device business.
Mochida Healthcare's goal is to enhance each of its healthcare product store brands, such as: Collage skin care products for sensitive skin; Collage Furfur, the only shampoo in Japan containing antimycotic agents; the Skina Babe line of infant skin care products, and its Skina line of user-friendly nursing-oriented hygienic care products.
Moreover, Mochida Healthcare is set to sequentially rollout four new cosmetic products, including Collage UV Protection Milk S (SPF25, PA++) for customers with sensitive skin, for the enhancement of the Collage series.
